Hellwig Products CEO recognized for exemplifying leadership within her organization |
Visalia, Calif. (March 11, 2024) – Hellwig Suspension Products, an industry-leading manufacturer of towing, hauling and performance suspension products, is proud to announce that CEO Melanie Hellwig-White has received a 2024 Women MAKE Award from the Manufacturing Institute for her inspiring and impactful work.
The Women MAKE Awards (formerly the STEP Awards) recognize women and their achievements at all levels of a manufacturing organization. Each year, companies nominate their female employees for consideration, and among the 1,000 candidates, 100 Honorees and 30 Emerging Leaders are peer-selected based on their leadership, innovation, mentorship and community impact.
Melanie Hellwig-White has been working her way through the ranks of her family’s Women’s Business Enterprise National Council-certified company since 2005, becoming president and CEO in 2018 and nearly tripling the business’s revenue along the way. After almost 20 years in the industry, she still enjoys putting her steel toed boots on and walking the factory floor with her team.
Melanie Hellwig-White’s work with the Society of Automotive Engineers in Southern California, serving as an advisor to engineering students in Southern California universities, as well as her partnerships with SEMA Businesswomen’s Network projects and SEMA’s Gear-Up Girl, contributed to her MAKE Awards nomination. Her recent appointment to incoming Chair of the Board of Directors for SEMA has only amplified her efforts to help the industry; she now works to protect and grow family-owned small businesses across the United States.
