MAHLE Aftermarket to showcase CLEVITE® F-series engine bearing at the Performance Racing Industry in Indianapolis, IN
MAHLE Aftermarket is at the forefront of vehicle engine innovation with the most extensive line of performance bearings in the market, including its newly available portfolio of CLEVITE® F-series engine bearings. Using the latest technology in materials and designs, the F-series is the new standard for reliability in performance engines with the highest load carrying and thrust load capacities in the industry. Unlike traditional bearing designs, the CLEVITE® F-series engine bearing has a higher seizure resistance with no additional thickness. It is currently available for popular Chevrolet® V8 engines. MAHLE Aftermarket will showcase the new F-series CLEVITE® engine bearings at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) 2024 expo in Indianapolis, IN at MAHLE booth no. 1601.
“MAHLE connects its global brand with the legendary quality of CLEVITE® engine bearings for the performance market,” said Dan Begle, Technical Sales Engineer, MAHLE Aftermarket. “Our CLEVITE engine bearings by MAHLE are offered in five series to tailor to our customers’ needs and our F-series bearings are our latest innovation. Specifically designed for performance engines, these bearings provide a 126% increase in load carrying capacity before seizure versus conventional copper, tin or lead overlay, also known as the CLEVITE® H-series, engine bearings.”
The CLEVITE® F-series engine bearing is a TriMetal lead-tin-indium-alumina electroplated overlay applied over a cast bronze lead substrate for maximum performance and dependability. The exclusive three-layer design is capable of carrying max loads of up to 12,000 psi. Where applicable, the added ramp and pad designed thrust face creates increased oil pressure to the thrust wear surface which increases lubrication and bearing cooling, resulting in the ability to withstand a higher thrust load than conventional flat thrust surfaces.
Extensive program at Performance Racing Industry show
The new CLEVITE® F-series engine bearing will be on full-display in MAHLE booth no. 1601 at the 2024 Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show in Indianapolis, IN, from December 12 to December 14, 2024. In addition, MAHLE Technical Sales Engineer, Dan Begle, is slated to present an educational seminar entitled “Shake, Rattle and Roll 2.0” on Friday, December 13th at 10:00 a.m. in rooms #234 and #235. During the session, Begle, alongside his co-presenters, Kevin Feeney, President of P1 Manufacturing, and Randy Neal, President and Owner of CWT Industries, will bring new data on fastener clamp load effects on clamping components. Engine bearing seizure data, internal oil flow from bearing/bore distortion, as well as block and crankshaft harmonics will also be discussed.
Rounding out this informative session, guest speakers Jon Kaase, Owner of Jon Kaase Racing Engines, and Tim Wilkerson, Nitro Funny Car Driver, will share some of their real-world experiences and how they keep their vehicles in optimal condition.
