For the Desert Challenge, RZR Factory Racing will field a four-car lineup, featuring its top drivers. Brock Heger, fresh off his incredible victory at the Dakar Rally and a Baja 1000 win in November, will return to defend his 2024 Desert Challenge title, aiming to build on his recent successes. After two intense weeks navigating the sands of Saudi Arabia alongside Heger, Max Eddy Jr. will once again race independently, piloting his blue-livery RZR Pro R Factory machine. Meanwhile, Cayden MacCachren looks to kick off his 2025 season with a bang by dominating the competition in the desert. Rounding out the KOH desert team is Dylan Schmoke, a familiar face within the team who’s competed in multiple events as a driver and co-driver and is ready to push the pace and prove his racing prowess in an orange RZR Pro R Factory.
For the coveted UTV Hammers Championship Race, widely regarded as one of the most challenging events in the U.S., RZR Factory Racing will field a dynamic two-driver lineup. Brock Heger, who clinched a class win and finished 4th overall UTV last year in a slightly modified, yet essentially stock RZR Pro S (formerly Turbo R), will return alongside off-road legend Bryce Menzies. Both drivers will compete behind the wheel of modified Gen 1 RZR Pro R Factory machines that have been specifically tuned to conquer the rock-strewn terrain of Johnson Valley, including the iconic Chocolate Thunder. Featuring reinforced componentry, specially tuned suspension, a winch, and other enhancements, these machines are designed and retrofitted to take on the legendary King of the Hammers Rock Challenge as the drivers aim to put Polaris on top of the podium.
In addition to the racing action, Polaris Off Road will be hosting a Dakar Celebration on Thursday, February 6th from 6-8 PM at The Forty Bar/Grill in Johnson Valley, CA. This event is open to the public.
