Updated jack mount fits both sides of Jeeps for greater versatility
MILWAUKEE – BOLT® Lock has redesigned their popular J-Mount® jack mounting system for Jeep® JL and Gladiator models. In response to customer input, the J-Mount now features a new mounting solution that makes it even easier to mount and remove the jack with the same reliable security features that BOLT products are known for.
For greater versatility, the updated BOLT J-Mount can be mounted to either side of the vehicle using the Jeep’s existing mounting points. It fits most popular brands of jacks including SmittyBilt and Hi-Lift and includes a matching ditch light mount for both sides. The J-Mount (part #7040029) for both the driver and passenger sides of the Jeep Gladiator and JL is now available under one SKU number to simplify inventory management and ordering.
Featuring BOLT’s “Breakthrough One-Key Lock Technology,” the lock for the redesigned J-Mount is permanently programed to the Jeep owner’s ignition key, eliminating the need to carry extra keys. When the ignition key is inserted into the lock cylinder, spring-loaded plate tumblers move up and down to uniquely coded the lock the first time the key is rotated. An auto-return spring locks automatically when the key is removed. These features and others will be highlighted in an upcoming installation video for the new J-Mount.
The redesigned J-Mount for the Jeep JL and Gladiator is made in the USA from steel that is protected by a durable black powder coat. The finish stands up to punishing weather and off-road conditions. No drilling is required to secure the J-Mount to either Jeep.

All BOLT Locks are built with a superior quality lock shutter that protects against weather and debris, and a six-plate tumbler sidebar that prevents picking and bumping. BOLT receiver locks in 5/8-inch and ½-inch sizes offer long-lasting protection with their cast zinc cylinder and case, stainless steel pin and rugged cover jacket. Coupler Pin Locks from Bolt fit couplers from ½-inch to 3 3/38 inches, and Trailer Coupler Locks offer maximum protection for trailers when left unattended. Multi-use BOLT Padlocks have a spring-loaded, chrome-plated 5/16-inch diameter hardened steel shackle and a crush-resistant body to secure trailer doors and other gear. The BOLT Lock line also includes a 6 foot coiled cable lock as well as locking recovery hooks.
