We are starting a new series beginning today. We have our pics for the top accessories we think should be a no brainer when it comes to adding items to your UTV. Each day this week we’ll highlight an item that we installed onto our rig and explain why we feel it’s a great accessory that you should add to yours. We’ll have photos and videos of our install of these items as well. And without further delay. Lets begin.

After you buy an UTV/SXS what’s the first thing you want to do to it? My answer and your answer will probably be the same. You want to add accessories. The market for UTV accessories is one of the largest in the off-road industry right now.

But how do you choose your accessories? What manufacturer do you go with?

We here at Torqued Magazine want to help you with some of those decisions. You see we are avid riders ourselves. We’ve hit the trails and highways in various machines and in multiple riding settings. And we compiled a list of accessories we felt we most needed and would benefit from in the various scenarios we put our machines through. And when it came down to it there was one manufacturer that had the goods to cover those needs.

And that manufacturer would be Kolpin Outdoors. Kolpin Outdoors has been operating since 1963, innovating and building quality products for all your multi-terrain voyages.

Kolpin Outdoors had every item on our list and we knew they were all quality from the get go.

Most anyone who purchases a UTV will shortly there after install a winch. And Kolpin has a giant selection of winches that can be easily installed onto your machine. We actually already had a winch on our machine. So yes a winch is on the list for sure. More than likely #1 on your list.

Seeing that we had a winch already we’re going to start our list off with the #1 item we viewed as needed and that is a synthetic winch line. A majority of winch kits come with a metal braided line. And as time has proven metal winch cables can be super dangerous if that line breaks under tension. If you want safety while witching, may we suggest a synthetic winch line from Kolpin. Their 4,500 lb winch rope is an amazing addition to your already installed winch. This line is recommended for winches up to 5,500lbs. It is 39 feet long which is plenty of length to get yourself out of any crazy hairy situation you got yourself into. We love its orange color too. It was extremely easy to install onto our winch and we were ready to go. It’s made of high grade synthetic rope as well. It’s easy to wind backup and it won’t get stuck or bound up like we’ve seen with our metal cable when respooling it up after use. It comes with a hoop at the end with a metal insert making it easy for you to attach a winch hook to it. This is by far the highest quality synthetic winch line you will find at this price point. This rope can be found for $99.99 from Kolpin or many other retailers that stock Kolpin products.

Tune in Tomorrow for #2 on our list.
