Erickson, in a license from The Gorilla Glue Company, has launched a new line up of Tie
Down Straps and Tarps.
The new lines were created with one thing in mind, quality. The Gorilla Glue Company is
known for strength and durability, so these became the guidelines for the Erickson
programs.
Tarps aren’t generally known by a brand name and most retailers look for low prices at the
sacri�ice of quality. This means these tarps will become frail over a shorter amount of time
due to exposure to the elements or become discolored rather quickly. Gorilla Tarps are built
in the opposite vein – we wanted a quality branded product. In taking the product to the
next level we took the normal standard of a 1-fold hem that is adhered through heat and
twice folded it with a double stitch instead of heat and added a rope running through. We
then reinforced the corners with a 3-layer hem and D-rings to provide the Gorilla Level
quality their customers have come to know and rely on. If you get your hands on these, you
will instantly feel the quality difference – try it.
When it comes to Tie Downs, we continued this method of thinking by designing elements
that elevate the product. At Erickson we have a proprietary design called cap locks which
we incorporated into the Gorilla brand to make it easier to use for the end customer and
prevent hooks from slipping off while tying down. The straps are also designed with
abrasion resistant edges to protect the webbing and Gorilla Grip handles to make it easier
to handle. Depending on which class of tie down you select you could also see yourself
using the patented sliding ratchet mechanism which allows you to move the handle from
tight spaces to the top of your cargo while its anchored in place. You won’t go back to the
brand you didn’t know… trust us.
