Face it, we’ve all done it. And by that, I mean using someone who had smaller hands to fit into a tight space when we were working on a car. Even more so, if you’ve ever work on a car, I can guarantee you’ve gotten bloody knuckles a time or two. Why is this? Because as auto manufacturers look for ways to make cars more compact. Hey, look for ways to make things smaller and tighter. Especially in the engine bay. Thus the conundrum comes for anyone who has large hands or heck, anyone who just has hands in general. And let’s not forget about those spots where you can actually get your hands and a tool into. But then you’re only left with minimal space to actually move the tool at all.

And this is where the beauty of Tite-reach extension wrenches comes into full display. Tite-reach extension wrenches are hand tools built to give you back your knuckles, and sanity. Each wrench consist of a long thin body with a socket drive on one end and the other end a machined hole for you to put you wrench drive into. Within the body of the extension wrench is a chain drive. And essentially how this works is you put your ratchet on one end and it uses the chain to drive the other end of the extension wrench. This gives you the ability to get into tight places you other wise couldn’t. And it turns nuts and bolts with zero degree of arc. No longer can you only spin a bolt one click of the ratchet at a time in that crazy small spot between the engine and the frame. The tite-reach takes that problem out of the equation.

The tite-reach wrenches come in different drive sizes including 3/8″ 1/4″ and 1/2″. The pro series of there 1/4″ and 1/2″ can be used with impact wrenches. And they offer 1 to 1 gearing ratio. So yes, you’re torquing bolts to the correct foot lbs as you would with your regular wrench.

For us honestly, we used the impact rated 1/2″ drive wrench the day we got it in. We were removing a water pump off of a SUV. We needed to remove the fan pulley and of course it spins and it’s in and extremely tight space. With in seconds the tite-reach helped us get those bolts out of the pulley using our impact wrench as the driver. It was a thing of beauty. We really love that it has allowed us to get into spaces where we’d normally have to remove other parts not even being serviced, just so we could get space to remove what actually needed fixed. Are these time savers? Yes indeed.

Tite-reach has also developed a series of extension clamps. They little guys can clamp onto bolts, nuts or hose clamps. They have a threaded wheel on one end that tightens down the clamp and enables it to hold parts with a firm grip. They really give you the upper hand when you need to hold something in place with minimal space to do it in. They are handy beyond all belief.

And lastly we can’t forget about the Tite-reach low profile sockets set. We absolutely use these and will for a long time. These sockets fit on the end of the extension wrenches. They are substantially shorter than any socket you have in your garage. Thus, giving you even more ability to get into those tiny nooks and crannies the auto industry engineers laughed at when they created them. And my favorite part about them…. they are magnetic inside the socket. Meaning after you loosen that bolt in no man’s land. You can pull it out without it falling into the abyss.

They really thought this out and made these things with pure practicality in mind.

When working on cars, whether you’re a mechanic or a DIY guy time is money. And these tools save you tons of it. As well your sanity is important. And Tite-reach has your back in that area too. They’re like the best friend you need in your corner.

I can’t say enough good things about these tools. They have simply worked when we needed them, and how we needed them to as well.
